2. The Philadelphia Eagle D-line gets three more sacks.

This Eagles team has guys who can be consistent playmakers everywhere, with the exception of the defensive end position. Derek Barnett can’t play. We don’t know if Genard Avery can and Casey Toohill can play or not, and the man that might be their third-best defensive end, Joe Ostnman, isn’t even on the active roster.

Yes, Josh Sweat is good, and he registered a sack and forced a fumble in Week 1, but whether it be because he’s utilized less often than he needs to be or because he’s still learning how to dominate consistently, Philly’s edge rushers aren’t going to make guys sweat (the play on words is intended) as much as say the defensive line’s interior.

Sweat will play a more central role in Week 2 as Vinny Curry is on the team’s injured reserve, and as of the time of this story being published, Brandon Graham is still in the NFL’s concussion protocol.

Sweat may be lined up against Andrew Whitworth a lot in Week 2, and while the latter is still one of the best tackles in the game, even at 38 years of age, he is still, well, 38 years of age. Expect for Sweat’s speed to give him a little trouble. Figure two more sacks for Sweat, and figure for the ‘Birds’ to get another sack from somewhere. Update: It appears that Brandon Graham, Derek Barnett, and Javon Hargrave might play after all, but we’ve still got Sweat tallying two sacks. Give the other to a charged up Hargrave.
