. . . Jason Peters, left tackle. . player. 54

Is Jason Peters’ time with the Philadelphia Eagles coming to an end?

It’s still very early in the season, but if you weren’t already convinced of this last year, you should be able to see this now. Jason Peters might finally be washed up. The 38-year-old has done so much for this franchise and has been great as he’s aged (2019 is debatable), but in 2020, he has struggled immensely.

In 229 offensive snaps, he’s already allowed three sacks for 16 yards, and that wasn’t a result of Wentz holding onto the ball. That’s one more sack than he gave up in 13 games last year and he’s only allowed five in the past two seasons.

In Week 1, some thought maybe it was just the fact that Chase Young and the Washington front seven were a force to be reckoned with. Unfortunately, it hasn’t gotten much better for Peters who made Carl Lawson look like a Hall of Fame defensive end at times during Week 3’s game.

After watching the film, Peters was better than most would think but the plays that he did struggle on were critical. For him to perform the way he has after getting a pay raise to move back to left tackle is unacceptable. If this doesn’t get fixed, Philly might have to consider their other options. Hopefully, the bodyguard can figure this out and end his career in Philly on a good note.
