NRC’s subpar play has Philadelphia Eagles fans saying the name ‘Strap’ again.

There’s no way to say this nicely or sugarcoat anything. We were lied to about Nickell Robey-Coleman. He was supposed to be one of the ‘steals’ of the most recent ‘free-agency frenzy’, but so far, the biggest play that he’s made in an Eagles jersey had nothing to do with anything that he was actually doing. He just got lucky.

No, his biggest moment in midnight green was the result of an underthrown pass that allowed him to catch up with the intended receiver and grab his arm as the ball arrived. Let’s face the facts here. ‘NRC’ was beaten on the play, and had Joe Burrow led the receiver instead of underthrowing him, that play would have led to a long gain, or possibly worse.

Still, that helped Philly to what has become the most infamous tie in franchise history. Ladies and gentlemen, Robey-Coleman is struggling, and it’s only going to get worse against smaller and shiftier slot receivers. Cre’Von LeBlanc may not be Deion Sanders. Heck, he may not even be what Patrick Robinson was in 2017, but the fans of this great team love him. Each time ‘NRC’ does something wrong, ‘Birds’ fans are going to begin to wonder why ‘Strap’ isn’t the one that’s actually out there.
