1. The Philadelphia Eagles can’t afford to lose any more in-division games.

As stated, the next three games for Philadelphia feature two tilts with New York and another versus Dallas. Two are in primetime.

While some are calling the Giants games easy wins, these are divisional battles, and you never know. That season opener versus the Washington Football Team was supposed to be a walkthrough too, remember?

Among Philly’s four losses are an in-division collapse and another loss to one of the NFC’s better teams, the Los Angeles Rams. As you might expect, it wouldn’t help the Eagles if they lost a third straight game and went 0-2 in the division this early in the season. That’s almost like having two additional losses.

Here’s how the Giants have done over the course of the last two weeks. They’ve racked up 34 points on Dallas, and they struggled their way to a close win against Washington. In both of those games, the Giants’ defense has scored a touchdown.

The ‘G-Men’ aren’t going to lie down, but the Eagles are favored and should be. This game is very winnable.
