The Philadelphia Eagles need to let their young players take the field.

The Eagles are finally seeing what they have in their young linebacker corps. First, it was Alex Singleton, who turned heads by returning an interception for a touchdown against the San Francisco 49ers in Week 4. Since then, he has seen his playing time increase.

Now, the ‘Birds’ are seeing what rookie Shaun Bradley brings to the table and are giving him more playing time as well. After seeing just 14 total snaps on defense in the first five games of the season, he was on the field for 32 snaps versus the Ravens. Depending on how he plays against the Giants, that number can continue to increase.

. . Avonte Maddox, cornerback. 9. player. 54.

Cornerback Darius Slay has been one of the few bright spots on defense for the Eagles this season. Anyone that has been on the opposite side of the formation has struggled. Now that Avonte Maddox is back, the hope is that he can bring some stability to the position.

Maddox started the first three games of the season and missed the following three with an ankle injury. In all three of those games he was on the field, 19 passes were thrown in his direction and he allowed 14 completions. The ‘Birds’ need to field as much talent as they can, and they’ll be happy to welcome Maddox back into the lineup.
