If the Philadelphia Eagles make another playoff appearance, it won’t be easy.

As much as we all like to pick on the Philadelphia Eagles and the ‘NFC Least’, this isn’t unfamiliar territory for NFL fans. Teams fall on hard times now and again. Look at the New England Patriots dynasty if you need evidence.

They’ve benefited from somehow landing the greatest coach and quarterback simultaneously, but they’ve also won all of those division titles because their rivals (the New York Jets, the Miami Dolphins, and the Buffalo Bills) all fell on hard times for the better part of 20 years or so.

Look at the NFC West, now seen as the NFL’s best division. They weren’t always looked at that way. At the conclusion of the 2010 regular season, the Seattle Seahawks earned a home playoff game with a 7-9 record. They made the most of it by winning in the divisional round in a game that will always be remembered for Marshawn Lynch’s ‘Beast Quake’ versus an 11-5 New Orleans Saints team.

Then again, who are we fooling? This is worse. The National Football Conference’s 2020 Eastern Divison might be one of the worst that we’ve ever seen by the time it’s all said and done. The leaders after Week 8 are the Eagles who boast a 3-4-1 record. Somebody has to make the playoffs, even though it looks like no one wants to. Why not them?

Here’s the thing though. If Philly wants to make it a fourth-straight playoff appearance, it won’t be easy. Here’s a look at every game remaining on their 2020 campaign. Just for kicks, a few predictions have been added. Gulp. Here we go.
