1. Miles Sanders is the Philadelphia Eagles’ most reliable weapon.

Through six games, Miles Sanders has rushed the ball 86 times for 519 yards. It doesn’t take much to deduce that averages out to a little over six yards per rush each time he carries the ball.

Throughout the Philadelphia Eagles’ long and storied franchise history, no one has averaged over six yards per rush over the course of an entire season. Even the legendary Steve Van Buren was unable to reach this mark.

Now, asking Sanders to finish the year averaging over six yards per rush might be a lot to ask for, but the point is this. Good things happen when Miles Sanders touches the ball. Fans have seen him ramp up the energy into the lifeless Eagles offense against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens with two long touchdown runs. His teammates love him, and he picks up the spirits of his comrades whenever he’s on the field.

Here’s the thing though. Even though he’s been one of the Eagles’ best players on offense, he’s been an afterthought in the Eagles’ struggling offense. Doug Pederson has failed to put this offense in a position to win, and Eagles fans everywhere and this team are both suffering because of the product he puts on the field weekly.
