1. The Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback isn’t finding Jalen Reagor in space.

Let’s start with the quarterback, Carson Wentz. First, let’s go to the second quarter on first and ten with 12:19 remaining on the clock. Wentz drew in the linebackers with play-action and Reagor ran a dig route behind the linebackers with a quick speed turn into his route.

After Wentz pulled the ball, he stared down Reagor and had him for a completion. It’s not the easiest throw to make, but it was there. The ball needed to come out quickly. It did not, and following some hesitation, the window closed leading to a sack and a loss of seven yards.

Later that quarter, the Eagles faced a third and 20 with 49 seconds remaining. The cornerback on Reagor played soft man coverage with outside leverage. Reagor ran a beautiful post/out route. Once he got to about the 40-yard line, he cut in and took three steps as if it was a post route flipping his hips and turning his head to face Wentz.

Then, he slowed, stuck his foot in the ground, and broke towards the sideline near the sticks. Wentz looked at him while he was selling the post but then flicked it out to Goedert in the flat instead. It wasn’t quite the same as Davante Adams’ post out route but it was still impressive. Wentz had time in the pocket too.
