3. Will the Philadelphia Eagles offense be competent enough to score?

This has been the most common question among Philadelphia Eagles supporters. The answer to this question is no one has an answer. Week to week, fans don’t know what they’ll see from the Birds offense, and let’s all be blunt for a second. It honestly seems like their coaches don’t know what they’re going to get either.

There were reports last week that Jalen Hurts would see more playing time. That obviously didn’t happen. Philly just keeps sending washed-up veterans into battle (like Alshon Jeffery). Their younger players can’t get into the game, so, where does that leave this Eagles offense?

Well, let’s all pretend that the Eagles have some form of an offensive identity for a second. Green Bay runs a traditional 4-3 defensive scheme as their base set, but they substitute various packages depending upon the offensive personnel. The Packers’ defense is far from the Baltimore Ravens’ or the Pittsburgh Steelers’, but they’re competent enough.

They’re led by linebacker Za’Darius Smith and safety Adrian Amos, who both have had great ability in pass coverage and the pass rush. They can be vulnerable to intermediate throws and a consistent rushing attack. The Eagles will need to lean heavily on Miles Sanders and Boston Scott and scheme their receivers into the middle of the field.

Next. Can Carson Wentz handle criticism?. dark

With Zach Ertz officially being activated back from injury, the Eagles have more than enough offensive talent to be successful versus Green Bay. Doug Pederson and company need to get the ball out of Carson Wentz’s hands quickly, and the Eagles pass rush needs to be on point if they want to leave Lambeau Field as the victors.
