How many of you forgot that he was on the Philadelphia Eagles roster?

Well, someone hanging around the NovaCare Complex watched a bunch of Auburn Tigers football in 2020, didn’t they? Eagles vice president and general manager Howie Roseman has been criticized often for not investing enough resources into finding young talent to create depth along the Eagles’ offensive line. During 2020’s NFL Draft, he tried to remedy that by drafting both of Auburn’s starting offensive tackles from the 2019 NFL season.

One looks like a star, but he hasn’t been able to stay healthy (Jack Driscoll). The other had injury concerns coming into the season (Prince Tega Wanogho), and he can’t seem to work his way onto the active roster from the practice squad. Come on. Let’s be honest. How many of you forgot that Tega Wanogho was on this team? How many of you even know what his jersey number is?

This guy’s got a beautiful story. His mom gave him twenty dollars, put him on the plane, and sent him from Nigeria to Alabama with the hope that he’d become an NBA star. One of his high school football team’s coaches saw him, got him on the gridiron, and the rest, as they say, is history.

Here’s the thing though. Jordan Mailata has emerged. Andre Dillard, who’s injured will return in 2021. The best-case scenario for Prince Tega Wanogho appears to be winding up on the practice squad again or falling victim to the numbers game next season.
