You won’t believe where Philadelphia Eagles are ranked in FanSided 250

Maybe our parent company has confused the Philadelphia Eagles for another team.

Dear FanSided, at this point, we have to ask some serious questions. Maybe the system you use should have been thrown out with those BCS computers. Maybe you meant to reference the Philadelphia Union and not the Philadelphia Eagles. Maybe all you saw was the color green and you confused the Birds with the Michigan State lacrosse team or something.

What’s that? Other people are listening in and reading this? Oh, we know that to be true, but you’re not getting off that easy! For goodness sake! 219? Are you serious? 219? Who put this list together? Was it Dallas Cowboys fans? No? Who then? Did Washington or the New York Giants oversee the tally? Seriously, what happened? You owe us an explanation for that much at least.

How on Earth are Philadelphia Eagles fans the 219th-best fanbase? 219? Don’t you mean first? We’re definitely throwing that red challenge flag on this one.

Let’s get some of you Eagles fans caught up.

For those of you that may not be aware, here’s the skinny. This year and every year, ITI’s parent company, FanSided, drops its FanSided 250. It’s just like it sounds. Every fan base on Planet Earth gets ranked from top to bottom. Or is it bottom to top in this case? Whatever. You get the idea. That’s not the point. The point is someone needs to be held accountable.

Regardless of what your opinions on that are or how the list is constructed, you’ve got to be kidding. The Philadelphia Eagles are 219th? Are you serious? Last year, they cracked the list at number 50. Two years ago, they were 124th. What’s going on here? Are votes getting thrown out or something?

If you’re as baffled as we are, here are a few other things to consider. Philly’s nod at 219 means they’re the 20th-ranked fan base in the NFL. Come on. Who believes that?

On behalf of Philadelphia Eagles fans everywhere, we, again, demand a recount.

The Eagles were edged by teams that we didn’t even know had fans like the Indianapolis Colts (212) the Arizona Cardinals (89), and the Memphis Grizzlies (77). They were bumped for guys who play for teams that aren’t even the most popular team in the city they play in like Tua Tagovailoa (204) and Kyler Murray (126). They even took the backseat to some of the biggest bandwagons in all of sports like the Dallas Cowboys (80) and the New Orleans Pelicans (67).

Come on. The Pelicans fans have been there for their team like Eagles fans? Have you ever been to a Pelicans game? Half of the people who are there show up to cheer for the visiting team. Who believes that New Orleans cares about basketball games?

Are fans mad at this Eagles team? Absolutely, they are. Have they vanished like those so-called New England Patriots fans vanished? They absolutely haven’t. At the risk of sounding disrespectful (after all, FanSided does sign the checks around here), someone fell asleep behind the wheel here.

If you think there are 19 other fan bases that love their team more than Eagles fans love the Birds, something is wrong. Scrap this list. Throw it out. There’s no way 218 fan bases can love anything more than these zany Eagles fans love the real America’s Team. Nope! We’re not buying it. We’re not accepting it. On behalf of every fan in the Delaware Valley, and the millions of Eagles fans all over the globe, we demand a recount.
