54. . . . Miles Sanders, running back. . player

Philadelphia Eagles tailback Miles Sanders is on the verge of superstardom.

There’s only one NFL tailback that can lay claim to having three runs of over 70 yards during the 2020 regular season. That man’s name is Miles Sanders.

For years, he’s been disrespected over and over by simply being referred to as Saquon Barkley’s former backup, but look what has happened. It’s called being out of sight and out of mind. Each week, Sanders does something to wow us while every day that passes drifts off into memory with fewer mentions of Barkley’s name. Seriously, how much have you thought about Saquon Barkley this season?

Each time the man Birds fans affectionately refer to as Boobie ‘spins’, he steps a little further away from that shadow everyone disrespectfully kept trying to cast on him. In his first season, he set franchise records for rushing yards and all-purpose yards. In his second season, injuries slowed him some, but he established himself as a key cog in Philly’s offensive machine proving his inaugural NFL season was no fluke.

What’s next for Miles Sanders in year three? We’re calling it now. Nothing says All-Pro running back like versatility. 26 is a threat in the running and passing game, and in 2021, that will carry him to his first Pro Bowl.
