3 Silver linings for those dark Philadelphia Eagles clouds
The Philadelphia Eagles have a pair of talented quarterbacks.
Despite the rumors that Carson Wentz could be traded away sometime soon, he’s still on the roster right now. No matter where you land on the discussion about 11 or the regression he suffered in 2020, there’s plenty of reason to believe that he can bounce back.
Before all of this turned ugly, Philadelphia had a rising star in Wentz. He was one of those players that defenses feared when he was at his best. Philly simply needs to figure out if he’s still capable of being the guy that he was up until 2019 or if he’s just someone who’s falling apart slowly.
The more informed and educated guess says this. He’s still capable of being a star in this league if he finds his way into the right situation.
On the other side of the coin, if the Philadelphia Eagles do decide to trade Wentz, they have a second-year stud in Jalen Hurts, a young man who’s calmly biding his time. This is a true win-win for the Birds and their fans really.
If they stick with Wentz and he plays well, all will be forgiven in time. If they go with Jalen Hurts, the signs are there that, with the right direction, he can grow into an awesome signal-caller in his own right. It’s never a bad thing to have this much talent unless of course, it leads to a divided locker room.
