Sails is a versatile weapon that would boost the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense.

University of South Florida defensive back K.J. Sails is considered one of the most versatile defenders in the 2021 NFL Draft. The five-foot-eleven, 185-pound playmaker has the quick hips in coverage and the football intelligence to be used in a multitude of ways.

Before landing in USF’s program, Sails cut his teeth with the North Carolina Tar Heels. He’s shown that he is capable of playing both safety spots. He can play outside on an island or kick inside and play the nickel. His rare combination of ball skills and ridiculous speed make him a prospect who could potentially match up with an opposing offense’s best weapon.

Aside from being a game-changing defensive back, the South Florida prospect has the tools and skillset to be the team’s best punt and kickoff return man. A constant threat to score anytime he touches the ball, Sails would boost an Eagles special teams in dire need.

The Philadelphia Eagles need to find help on the back end of their defense. Adding a special player like K.J. Sails would give them a player who can be a plug-and-play prospect anywhere.
