The Philadelphia Eagles need to boost the middle of their defense.

University of Virginia Cavaliers defender Charles Snowden is so much more than a linebacker. At six-foot-seven and 250-pounds, he has great size, unique speed to play in space, and the football IQ to be moved all over the defense.

Snowden would be an excellent addition to the Philadelphia Eagles’ defense. He’s completely capable of helping in the running game by taking on offensive linemen and running down tailbacks. He can also drop into coverage and defend versus the pass.

He has the smooth hip movement you would expect in an above-average defensive back and the raw strength to terrorize an opposing offense. If the Eagle’s front office were to land the Cavalier product they could use his all over their defense, it’s definitely worth considering. He can be used as a pass rusher off of the edge or as a cover guy playing in the zone, Snowden can be put everywhere.

The Philadelphia Eagles drafted two linebackers in the 2020 NFL Draft, but Charles Snowden is a lot more than a prototypical linebacker. Adding a talent with his skill set could be a great idea and investment moving forward.
