‘The Train’ will always be remembered and loved by Philadelphia Eagles fans.

Fresh off a Super Bowl victory, LeGarrette Blount A.K.A. ‘The Train’ was looking to prove to the entire world that the New England Patriots had moved off of him prematurely. The Philadelphia Eagles signed this young man on May 17th of 2017 and wound up playing his former team in Super Bowl LII. You see where this is headed right?

Philly would also add Jay Ajayi midseason, but despite Doug Pederson’s refusal to play Blount in Week 2 during a road game versus the Kansas City Chiefs, Blount still tallied 766 rushing yards, 50 rec yards, and three touchdowns during the regular season which is quite impressive.

Just like Robinson, Blount saved his best for the postseason.

Philly’s backfield monster scored in all three postseason games during Philly’s first Super Bowl march, and in the big game, Blount was the team’s workhorse. He gashed his former mates twice in the first half including a 21-yard touchdown run to put the Birds up 15-3. He finished the game with 90 yards and a touchdown.

After earning his third Super Bowl ring, Blount played his final season with the Detroit Lions, but it still seems fitting that his final championship was in the City of Brotherly Love. There’s something special about this city.
