856. . . . Chuba Hubbard, Oklahoma State. 2. player

Chuba Hubbard is a very interesting prospect for the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Philadelphia Eagles have found some success in adding former Oklahoma State Cowboys to their lineup, Juqua Parker for instance. They’ve also found themselves on the wrong side of a few rear-end whippings (Dez Bryant).

Perhaps, if they’re interested in using draft capital in an attempt to find Miles Sanders some help, there’s a chance that the Birds can take a flier on Chuba Hubbard. He’s six-foot-one and tips the scales at 207 pounds.

Now, while there are some concerns about whether or not he can hold up physically and in pass protection, history has shown us that a committee approach can assist with the former issue. Coaching should be sufficient enough of an approach to remedy the second.

In 33 games at the collegiate level, Hubbard racked up a 5.9 yards-per-rush average after totaling 3,459 yards on 585 carries. He added another 479 yards on 53 receptions. He’s reached the end zone 36 total times. Expect him to come off of draft boards sometime between Round 3 and Round 5.
