2012: DT Fletcher Cox, Philadelphia Eagles

Philadelphia Eagles fans seem to forget how good Fletcher Cox truly is. Over nine seasons, the big man has totaled 54.5 sacks and 408 combined tackles. He’s also started in all 16 games six out of those nine seasons. Make no mistake, Cox has been the best Eagle of this past decade, and his six consecutive Pro Bowl nods can attest to that fact.

The Mississippi State product has been a staple in the Philadelphia defense for years. His stats may have dropped off over the past few football seasons, but this is largely due to an increase in double teams. In 2019, he attracted more double teams than the Los Angeles Rams star Aaron Donald.

Eagles fans love to hate Howie Roseman but give him credit for this selection. If you’re going to bash him for selecting Danny Watkins, it’s only right if you commend him for selecting Fletcher Cox. Grade: A
