814. . . . Tyson Campbell, cornerback. . player

Simply put, Tyson Campbell could start for the Philadelphia Eagles immediately.

In 31 career games as a member of the Georgia Bulldogs, Tyson Campbell impressed just about everyone that watched him play this great game that we love. The six-foot-two, 185-pound prospect stuck his head in on 89 career tackles including 3.5 that resulted in a loss of yardage.

The rest of the resume includes a sack, an interception, ten pass breakups, a forced fumble, three fumble recoveries, and two defensive touchdowns. If he wound up on the Eagles’ roster and any of that translated, the Birds would have no issues and maybe one of the best cornerback tandems in the NFL.

Most grade Campbell as a first-round prospect, so the Birds’ chances of landing him might be slim, but he’s someone to take note of. If he isn’t on the Eagles’ draft board, there isn’t really a reason to have a board at all.

One very honorable mention: Richard LeCounte, safety

Richard LeCounte is a five-foot-eleven and 190-pound safety that was having a nice run in 2020 before a motorcycle accident forced him out of action for a spell. Some will question his size, but he’s produced more than his fair share of wow plays and should serve any team that drafts him well.

Expect there to be some questions about his health and the 4.79 40-yard dash time he posted on March 17th, but if he’s completely healed, and the hope is that he has, he could be someone that could come off of draft boards on Day 2 of the selection meeting.
