Could Shaka Toney be the perfect addition to the Philadelphia Eagles defense?

Penn State Nittany Lion defensive end Shaka Toney is an underrated beast. He’s also been blessed with a dynamic first step, a strong base, and excellent hands at the point of contact.

He has the speed that gives opposing offenses headaches. He also constantly has offensive tackles on skates. If the Philadelphia Eagles have the opportunity to add the Penn State product on day three, they should pounce on the said opportunity.

Shaka Toney has the tools and skillset to play in space. He also has the speed to run down ball carriers and stonewall the running game. He has a nose for the football and always seems to be in the right place at the right time.

A man that’s capable of diagnosing opposing offenses, Toney has the football IQ that coaches search for in their prospects. While he does need to put on weight, Toney could be a third-down pass-rusher. When he adds a little mass, he’ll have the size to be a full-time player on the edge.

The Eagles need to add a talent like Shaka Toney in the 2021 NFL Draft. He could be the perfect investment and someone that helps them move forward.
