Swapping picks might be something the Philadelphia Eagles can talk Vegas into.

Currently, the Las Vegas Raiders hold the 17th-overall selection in the draft, but they only have eight picks. While that isn’t tragic, picking past the midpoint of Round 1 probably means these guys will miss out on some of the elite talents that this draft class boasts.

That is unless they trade up. You have to know that Jon Gruden and the Raiders would love to get their hands on one of those guys.

While this would drop Philly five spots, it may be something to consider if, while the draft is playing itself out, they again are brought to the conclusion that moving back won’t make them miss out on one of the guys they truly wanted. Hey, a year ago at this time it seemed unlikely that they’d have a shot at Justin Jefferson at 21, didn’t it?

No, they didn’t take Jefferson. You get the point though.

Just out of curiosity, is there anyone else that still comes dangerously close to slipping up and calling them Oakland? Sorry, that has absolutely nothing to do with the story. We just want you to know how hard it is to remember that sometimes.
