One more Philadelphia Eagles seven-round NFL mock draft
Pay very close attention to the next nine picks Philadelphia Eagles fans.
The next nine selections after the first two go like this. The San Francisco 49ers take Mac Jones. The Atlanta Falcons take Kyle Pitts, and the Cincinnati Bengals, rather than going with Penei Sewell to protect the investment that they made at quarterback a year ago, go with Joe Burrow’s college teammate, Ja’Marr Chase.
The Dolphins take Jaylen Waddle, the Lions take the aforementioned Sewell, and the Carolina Panthers give their new signal-caller Sam Darnold and their overworked running back Christian McCaffrey some help in the form of DeVonta Smith. You know an offensive-minded coach Matt Rhule can’t overlook the Heisman Trophy winner.
That brings us to the Denver Broncos. They take Justin Fields. The Dallas Cowboys take Patrick Surtain II, and the New York Giants select Micah Parsons.
Philly’s selection is an easy one. With Pitts, Chase, Waddle, Freeman, and Surtain off of the board they elect to take the best player available at a position of need. Horn gives them a potential star and someone they can line up opposite of Darius Slay. Here’s some more good news as well. Those of you who want that star wide receiver won’t have to wait long for Philly to add one.
