Brooks’ Injuries may force the Philadelphia Eagles to move in another direction.

Don’t get us wrong. Brandon Brooks was arguably one of the best offensive linemen in all the National Football league, so it’s easy to figure out what you may be thinking. If the Philadelphia Eagles are going to replace a lineman, it can’t be this one, right?

We get it. We really do, but with his injury issues and his age, we could see the former All-Pro placed on the trade block. Then again, it could be worse. He could be released outright. When the front office drafted the former Alabama Crimson Tide standout, Landon Dickerson, it could have placed some writing on the wall.

Eventually, Dickerson should be the heir to Jason Kelce’s throne, but until the legend is ready to move on, the coaching staff should look to get the rookie as much playing time as possible, possibly at the guard position. It all adds up.

The Eagles need to shed contracts, and they are looking to get younger as they rebuild the entire roster. While Brooks has been a great player, he just hasn’t been available and seems to get injured every season now. Moving on from him makes sense.

In the meantime, no matter what they decided to do, the coaching staff needs to get Landon Dickerson on the field. The rule of thumb is you play your best players and Dickerson has the potential to be great.
