Philadelphia Eagles schedule: 3 Potential primetime games in 2021
Might Philadelphia Eagles fans get a Divisional Round rematch?
Sometimes, it feels like the moment when the ‘new norm’ ended. The Philadelphia Eagles were in New Orleans at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and looking to avenge their worst loss of the 2018 season. The two-minute warning was looming. The Birds were driving, and a win would place them in the NFC Championship Game for a second-consecutive season.
Then, it happened.
A pass from Nick Foles slipped through Alshon Jeffery‘s hands and into the waiting arms of Marshon Lattimore, and as the camera panned back and forth from the jubilation of a fired-up Saints team to Jeffery lying face down on the turf, another postseason loss by the Birds to the Saints, their third straight, was in the books.
Just in case you’re wondering, the Birds have lost seven of the last ten meetings between these two, and they haven’t beaten the Saints in a postseason game since January 3rd of 1993. They did earn a win last season in Jalen Hurts‘ first career start. Do you have enough storylines for this one? You should! There won’t be an Eagles or Saints fan that isn’t in front of the television for this one.
On Wednesday, we’ll know if this winds up being one of Philly’s primetime games.
