The Philadelphia Eagles really don’t want to pay the asking price.

This Philadelphia Eagles team is rebuilding, and it’s obvious. Giving up the boatload of riches in players and future draft picks to get Aaron Rodgers would throw a huge wrench into the machine and put a halt on everything. That’s a fact.

Here’s something else that no one has stopped to think about. The Eagles would once again become older at the quarterback position with two quarterbacks on their roster who are in their late thirties.

This team just spent the offseason trying to convince former second-round pick Jalen Hurts and anyone watching that he’s their man at quarterback with the departure of Wentz by adding talented pieces around him like Devonta Smith and Landon Dickerson.

One could ask the question as to why it would be necessary to worry about draft picks when the general manager hasn’t exactly had the best track record recently with choosing prospects.

Philly needs to get younger, and they should build a strong cohesive offensive unit. It makes no sense to add an older player who may be with the team for only one or two years tops.

Are we even sure Rodgers would want to play in Philadelphia? And, how are we certain that he wouldn’t clash with Howie Roseman? Isn’t that always an issue these days?
