The Philadelphia Eagles host the champs in Week 4.

Since the Philadelphia Eagles parted ways with their former head coach, Andy Reid, Big Red has led his new squad, the Kansas City Chiefs into battle with the Birds twice. Both times, Philly’s come up on the losing side.

It would be nice to hear that won’t happen in 2021, but that wouldn’t be realistic. Here’s some truth serum whether you want to hear it or not. The tide won’t be turning in 2021. This one’s a loss, and you can go ahead and mark that down. Philly simply doesn’t have the horses.

For the second time in as many seasons, the Chiefs will enter the regular-season campaign as the AFC Champions. What’s scary is, in 2021, they have a real shot at being even better than they were in 2019 and 2020. Patrick Mahomes will be behind a much better offensive line as well.

Expect a more entertaining game than the experts will predict. Expect Philly to keep this one close for about three quarters. The Birds won’t pull this one out though.

The Chiefs will win, and they might win by two scores. That win will come thanks to the Eagles’ defense and offense falling apart in the fourth quarter. In the process, a young Philadelphia team gets some experience that might help them mature into a better and more cohesive unit somewhere down the road.

Final score: Chiefs 34, Eagles 20  (2021-2022 Eagles record: 1-3)
