. . Bashaud Breeland. 2. player. 124.

CB Bashaud Breeland would fit perfectly with the Philadelphia Eagles.

It’s a mystery as to how Bashaud Breeland hasn’t been signed yet. The former Chief was an instrumental piece to their 2019 Super Bowl run and even recorded an interception in the big game.

In his last 27 games, he’s started in 26 of them. If you want consistency, Breeland’s your guy.

He’s said in the past that he wants to be a starter on whichever team he signs with. There is no doubt that he would slide right into the CB2 slot for the Eagles. Breeland would bring a veteran mindset to a relatively young and inexperienced Philadelphia cornerback room.

In the illustrious 2017 Super Bowl run, the Philadelphia Eagles made calculated veteran signings that put the team over the edge. Chris Long, Patrick Robinson, and LeGarrette Blount are just a few of the guys that gave a veteran presence to a young and growing Eagles team.

The Ryan Kerrigan signing feels a lot like the Chris Long signing, doesn’t it? Well, a Bashaud Breeland signing would give the Eagles some consistent cornerback play, much like Robinson gave the team in 2017.

We’re pumping the breaks on Super Bowl hopes, but the point remains. A few developments from a few key players and the Eagles are seriously looking at a competitive year. Adding Bashaud Breeland to the mix would undoubtedly improve a secondary that desperately needs consistently. Keep him on your radar.
