3 Philadelphia Eagles that can earn their first Pro Bowl nod in 2021
It’s time to think big if you’re a Philadelphia Eagles fan.
This is one of those times where the Philadelphia Eagles got it right. For once, fans can look at someone that they snagged in an NFL Draft and feel anticipation instead of hesitation. DeVonta Smith is one of those guys that can be a difference-maker in the Birds offense.
He comes with a resume. He comes with some fanfare. Smith is as close to a sure thing as Birds fans have had in a while, and there’s no reason not to believe that the skills he showed at the collegiate level won’t translate.
The Eagles have one of the most supportive fan bases in all of the professional sports, so Smith already has a ton of supporters that want to see him do well. Philly also gets a couple of games in front of a national viewing audience. A successful season and a nice stat line could mean Smith takes quite a few honors after his rookie season.
He could be in the running for the NFL’s Offensive Rookie of the Year Award. That could lead to a spot on the Pro Football Writers of America’s All-Rookie Team and, of course, the Pro Bowl roster. Don’t be surprised if DeVonta Smith’s name is on fire after the 2021-2022 season.
