Alex Singleton will continue to make Philadelphia Eagles fans proud in 2021.

One of the surprises of last season, Alex Singleton, believes that he can break the Philadelphia Eagles franchise record for tackles in a season. That’s a record currently owned by Reggie White if you need a reminder, and though there are reasons to believe him, there’s also the knowledge that T.J. Edwards will be back. That will cut into Singleton’s production some.

There’s also the Birds’ recent addition of Eric Wilson to consider. He figures to get a ton of snaps in Jonathan Gannon’s system, and unless something changed over the past few months, the Birds are also a team that isn’t really recognized for its stellar play at linebacker. That will hinder Singleton’s chances of a Pro Bowl nod as well.

Philly’s linebacker unit will probably be ignored once it’s time to vote, but if there’s someone that can change that, it’s Alex Singleton. A nice guy by nature, there’s a switch that flips in this guy when it’s game time. That’s endeared him to Birds fans. That will endear him to the rest of the NFL world as well.

On one hand, it feels like Singleton is the darkest of dark horses. On the other, this is a guy that plays his heart out every single Sunday and has the chance to win fans and voters over. There’s a small chance, but it exists. Based on what we’ve seen from Singleton so far, that’s all he needs.
