. . Russell Wilson, Hawks. 1. player. 36.

The Philadelphia Eagles and Russell Wilson have been linked before.

Just because Russell Wilson will be playing football for the Seattle Seahawks during the 2021-2022 regular season, that doesn’t mean he’s happy about it. Regardless of what he’s saying publicly, you can best believe that he isn’t.

There’s no reason to revisit what’s gone on with this perennial MVP candidate and the only team that he’s ever played for. Just know that some wounds heal slowly, and if we aren’t hearing next offseason that Wilson wants out of the Pacific-Northwest when free agency and the NFL Combine roll around (or when the Hawks’ season is over at the end of the current campaign), consider it a miracle.

Hurts has been compared to Russell Wilson before. What if the Eagles shocked everyone and actually made a move on the prototype?

You know the saying. If you can’t beat them, join them, and the Philadelphia Eagles have never beaten Russell Wilson. They’re 0-6 against this guy, but there’s no shame in that, he’s one of the best signal-callers in the NFL, and if you want Deshaun Watson-level talent without the drama, Wilson is as good a franchise quarterback as any franchise can ask for.

Don’t be surprised if we’re talking about him moving again next season. Don’t be surprised if the Eagles are named as an interested party again. Next year, this one may be more believable.
