The Philadelphia Eagles’ first preseason game gives us much to talk about.

Guess what? It’s August 12th, and there’s a game to watch. The Philadelphia Eagles, after playing in no preseason games during the 2020 campaign, get their first taste of live action versus someone other than their own roster when they meet the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 1 of the preseason.

For the Steelers, this is game number two as they had an impressive showing versus the Dallas Cowboys in this year’s Hall of Fame Game. Dallas and Pittsburgh will appear in four preseason games while the NFL’s other 30 franchises get to cut their teeth in three, being that there’s a 17th game on everyone’s schedule now.

Birds fans would love to see DeVonta Smith haul in a few passes, but will he play? Then, there’s Jalen Hurts. How long will he be on the field? Some would state that, due to the up-and-down performances we’ll see from him during camp, he needs as many in-game reps as possible.

The Birds have a lot of new additions and several rookies who should take the field as a member of this team for the first time. All of them are intriguing, but here are six guys that you definitely want to pay attention to.
