Can Mailata be the Philadelphia Eagles’ next superstar left tackle?

When you watch the film on Australia’s Jordan Mailata, it is hard to believe he had never played the game prior to being drafted four years ago. Yet here we and the left tackle have been better than the former first-round draft choice, Andre Dillard, who is now injured.

More impressively, the six-foot-eight, 345-pound steam roller has all the tools to be the best tackle in the National Football League. Despite his lack of experience, the former rugby star has been a dominant force in his short time of playing.

We at Inside The Iggles had an opportunity to speak to two of Mailata’s representatives. In a quick phone conversation with Dwane Bugden and Chris Orr of Pacific Sports management. Here’s some of what was said.

Jordan is always looking to get better. He is a guy that can learn something and truly pick it up quickly. Sure, he has great size and is an athletic freak of nature. Mentally he has everything it takes to be a constant success.

Needless to say, the Philadelphia Eagles might have the perfect replacement for the original bodyguard, Jason Peters. Only time will tell if Mailata becomes a newer Australian version.
