Philadelphia Eagles versus Dallas Cowboys: 6 Bold predictions
Here are three bold predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles on defense.
The Philadelphia Eagles, aside from a drive here and there have been very good. Here are three guesses on what to expect from the Titans’ defense.
1. Philly’s defense forces two turnovers.
The Birds defense hasn’t forced any turnovers yet, but doggone it, they’re getting close! Had the ball bounced a different way on a couple of occasions, they might have had their first in Week 2 versus the 49ers.
As fate would have it, that isn’t how things worked out, but you have to feel like this is the week. It’s a rivalry game. Philly may need a turnover or two to win, and we believe that it’s going to happen. The Eagles snag an interception in this one, and they jump on a fumble.
2. The Eagles’ defense holds the Cowboys to 250 total yards or less.
We know that the Philadelphia Eagles aren’t going to be able to let Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott, CeeDee Lamb, Amari Cooper, and all of those Cowboys weapons on offense to get off and win this one. Don’t allow yourselves to believe the Eagles don’t know that too.
Philly’s been good on D during the first two weeks. Expect for them to have a repeat performance in Week 3.
3. Philly’s defense makes the play to decide this one.
We’ll take a Dak Prescott interception, a fumble by Zeke, or an incomplete pass that results in a turnover on downs. Who cares how it ends? All we know is these games often end with Dallas trying to march down the field to ice the game or win it, especially if the game goes to overtime.
Monday Night Football won’t end any differently. Dallas will have the ball last, but Birds fas should enjoy the result here. After a nice effort by the defense through the first three weeks of the season, they’ll get a well-deserved payoff by making the final play to deliver the Eagles a road win versus their rivals.
