Eagles versus Raiders Week 7 prop bets

Bet No. 1

  • Anytime TD Scorer (Jalen Hurts) +110

When your quarterback is your biggest threat in the running game, the top two running backs on your depth chart are largely ignored, and the best play in the offensive playbook is throwing the ball deep in an attempt to draw a pass interference penalty, teams will have a tendency to see their offense become one-player reliant.

Jalen Hurts has either become the only skill player on the Eagles offense that the coaches trust or his inability to master what he’s seeing at this point in his career pushes him towards abandoning the play at some point during its execution. That’s why he holds on to the ball too long, scrambles much too often, and misses wide-open targets.

In other words, those of you who are expecting to see Hurts stand in the pocket and deliver pinpoint passes are going to be disappointed. He’s still going to miss guys, keep the ball on the read-option more than he hands it off, trust his legs more than his arm, especially in the red zone.

According to the oddsmakers at WynnBET, the odds are +110 that Hurts is an anytime touchdown scorer. That’s a safe bet in this one. The Raiders are an easier team to run on than throw against, and that will force Hurts away from the game plan and into his comfort zone.

The likelihood of him throwing and running for a score is high which makes this one a pretty safe wager if you’re looking for an easy payoff. Keep in mind the fact that he has two rushing touchdowns in each of the Eagles’ last two games.
