Jalen Hurts best throws of Week 8

As mentioned, Jalen Hurts only attempted 14 passes in this one. He only had nine completions, and waking up on Monday morning, most Birds fans were happy with that. Here are Jalen Hurts’ best throws from Week 8.

With a little over 5:10 left in the first quarter, on 2nd and five from the Lions’ 20-yard line, Hurts, working out of the shotgun, took the snap from Jason Kelce and set up at about the 28-yard line. He delivered a beautiful pass over the outstretched hand of Jalen Reeves-Maybin, finding Quez Watkins for a 16-yard gain to the Lions’ four-yard line.

Hurts had a really nice-looking throw on 3rd down and nine with the Eagles scrimmaging from their own 44-yard line. There’s a little over five minutes remaining in the third quarter. Boston Scott picked up a blitzing strong safety (Will Harris). That gave Hurts enough time, and QB1 tossed one from his own 34-yard line to DeVonta Smith along the right sideline.

Smith made a nice contested catch versus Amani Oruwariye, got both feet down, and moved the chains. That set the Birds up with first and ten at the Lions’ 41-yard line.
