The Philadelphia Eagles’ rushing attack was the key to victory in Week 8

Hero: Jordan Howard & Boston Scott, Running backs

One of the biggest concerns heading into this Week 8 matchup was what the Eagles running attack has looked like to this point. Jordan Howard and Boston Scott did not let their team down at all.

They combined for 117 rushing yards and four touchdowns. The Lions’ defense didn’t have any answers, and they were the biggest reason for this dominant win.

Hero: Josh Sweat, Defensive End

Defensive end Josh Sweat has had an okay season so far but has not had the performance we were all hoping for. Well, that all changed in Week 8 for Sweat.

The four-year veteran notched four tackles, including two tackles for a loss of yardage. He sacked Lions quarterback Jared Goff twice. He was a constant presence of pressure and gave the Lions’ offensive line all they could handle.

Hero: Jalen Hurts, Quarterback

If you were a fantasy owner of Jalen Hurts, you did not have a good week. However, the second-year quarterback, despite not doing anything special, bailed his team out of a few third and longs with his legs and going through his reads. He did exactly what was asked of him by this team.

Hero: Dallas Goedert, Tight End

Add yet another 70+ yard receiving game. Dallas Goedert was the primary target for Hurts in Week 8.

He caught six of the seven passes for a total of 72 yards, TE1 proves why this team should pay him. He continues to be one of the best blocking tight ends in the league and was absolutely carving up the Lions’ secondary.
