Here are bold predictions for the Philadelphia Eagles’ ninth game of the season.

By the time you click on this and read it, more than a week would have passed since Nick Sirianni educated us all on the flower metaphor that he shared with his Philadelphia Eagles team ahead of Week 8’s game versus the Detroit Lions. By now, we’ve replayed that statement over and over in our minds hundreds of times, and we think we’ve figured it out… maybe.

Ford Field was the soil, the running game was the root, and the success that was unearthed by Philly’s ground and pound theory will serve as fertilizer for the rest of the season. Yeah, that’s it!

Then again, maybe that isn’t what Nick meant at all. Maybe the practice field at the NovaCare Complex is the soil and each player is a root or a branch. Then again, the soil could be each player’s heart, but if that’s the case, what would be the water and fertilizer?

Oh, forget it! The Eagles won in Week 8. That’s all that matters, but that game has nothing to do with the next. All that we know is this Week 9 game versus the Los Angeles Chargers is one that Philadelphia can win. Let’s get into some bold predictions as kickoff inches closer and closer.
