Jalen Hurts’ best/worst throws versus Giants in Week 12

Best throws: With a little over three minutes remaining in the first quarter, Hurts delivers a nice ball to Quez Watkins on 3rd-and-five for an 18-yard pickup.

And how about the 21-yard toss to Jalen Reagor? Great pass… Great catch… We’ll take these all day!

Can an incomplete pass be a quarterback’s best passes of the day? Jalen Reagor delivered a potential game-winner to Jalen Reagor that was gift-wrapped, and Reagor dropped it. He also dropped Hurts’ final pass, one that, at minimum, would have set the Birds up with first-and-goal and, at maximum, could have been a game-winner.

Worst throws: On 2nd and 11 during the Eagles’ first drive (and on 1st-and ten during Philadelphia’s second drive), the familiarity with his favorite target, DeVonta Smith, may have influenced him to throw one into double-coverage. Smith was covered, and in situations like that one, you fear an interception. Fortunately, this one results in an incomplete pass.

Tragedy would strike six plays later as Hurts would toss a bad-looking pick to Darnay Holmes that was intended to Watkins.
