3. What will it take for the Eagles to find more consistency?

While we’re on the subject of Kenneth Gainwell, it would have been nice to see him involved in the passing game a bit earlier. During each offensive snap when Nick Sirianni actually put the offense in better situations to be successful (and Jalen Hurts made the right read and decision), there were still other mistakes that killed drives.

Unfortunately, there were too many mistakes and self-inflicted wounds that held this offense back: Boston Scott’s fumble, Jalen Reagor’s drops, Greg Ward’s drop in the end zone that should have been a touchdown, and Nate Herbig’s holding calls killed drives.

All in all, the Eagles just couldn’t take advantage of the many opportunities that they were given, and that led to the loss. If there is anything positive to take out of Week 12’s game it’s this. The defense held up almost the entire game.

It wasn’t a perfect showing. They let the Giants drive down the field a few times, but Jonathan Gannon and company deserve some credit. It felt like the Birds were gaining some momentum. That’s something this team can use as a building block for Week 13; however, this loss just makes it feel like we’re riding the rollercoaster of emotions once again.

The Philadelphia Eagles have looked like a different team each week. There must be more consistency.
