More Eagles Week 13 duds

Derek Barnett, defensive end

This team is getting nothing out of Derek Barnett at this point. They missed a decent opportunity to trade him at the deadline. He had one tackle on the day, and that was one he helped out on.

Before Week 13’s game, Zach Wilson hadn’t tossed multiple touchdowns in any NFL game that he had appeared in since Week 4 when the Jets upset the Tennessee Titans in overtime (and he’s only done it twice thanks to another two-touchdown versus the Panthers in the opener).

As a matter of fact, Zach Wilson hadn’t thrown any touchdowns in any other games since Week 4 either. There’s nothing like playing Jonathan Gannon’s defense to stop the slump huh? In Week 13, Gannon’s game plan allowed for two touchdown passes on the first two drives, and had Philly not been playing a rookie, it stands to reason that they would have given up a few more.

It’s gotten to a point where, more often than not, it doesn’t matter who the Birds are facing. Gannon’s defense makes everyone look good.
