Here’s a guess on what the Eagles do with those other first-rounders.

If the Eagles want to explore the future at quarterback in this draft, taking Kenny Pickett at 11 may be their only chance. Pickett is believed to be one of the best quarterbacks in the class, and with Matt Corral out of Ole Miss likely going top-10, there is no reason not to select Pickett sitting at 11.

Also, this may be their only chance to get a top signal-caller, as the quarterback-needy New Orleans Saints, Pittsburgh Steelers, Denver Broncos, Washington Football Team, and even possibly Browns, all pick before the Eagles’ next pick (21).

Many mock drafts are locking Pickett in the Steelers’ black and gold uniform. This could be the Eagles’ chance to cross their in-state rivals and grab Pickett off the board before they’d get a chance to.

In terms of skill, Pickett has that too. He possesses elements of both Jalen Hurts’ and Carson Wentz’ game, two Eagles quarterbacks that have had relative success in their system.

While Pickett was projected to be a second-round pick in mock drafts composed just weeks ago, he has since shot up draft boards after excellent performances to close the college football season. Hey, this is the Philadelphia ‘QB Factory’ Eagles we’re talking about, right?

At pick 21, the Eagles finally select an edge rusher, a position they desperately need. Although as mentioned earlier, Kayvon Thibodeaux, Aidan Hutchinson, and George Karlaftis are likely to be taken as early as top 5,

Georgia EDGE Travon Walker is likely to be the next best option. And he’s no slouch, either.

Walker puts in the effort on every play and has very good athleticism. The only reason he is not higher on the board is because his mental game could use some improvement, but he has the potential to become the next ruthless and explosive edge rusher, like Myles Garrett.
