The Philadelphia Eagles WR’s approval rating continues to plummet.

Second-year wideout Jalen Reagor, for his career (24 games), has 57 receptions, 604 receiving yards, and three receiving touchdowns. He also scored a touchdown as a punt returner during his rookie season. Greg Ward, by comparison, was an undrafted rookie who the Eagles never seemed to want on their team. Some would say that they still act like they don’t.

He appeared in 16 games during the 2020 season with ten starts. He caught 53 receptions, racked up 419 yards, and reached the end zone six times in that season alone. Let that sink in for a second.

Now, while this comparison isn’t necessarily of the apples-to-apples variety, it is interesting. Sure, Ward appeared in five more games in 2020. He also saw 25 more targets.

Then again, you could throw out Ward’s 2020 NFL season and combine the 20 games that he appeared in throughout 2019 and 2020. He’d have two fewer games on his professional resume than Jalen Reagor if that was the case; however, he’d only have 27 fewer catches than Reagor has for his career (and the same amount of touchdowns).

In the grand scheme of things, none of this means a ton, but just knowing that we can make serious comparisons between an overhyped first-rounder and an undrafted guy that lacks the support of his franchise is embarrassing.

Screw the highlight-reel catches in practice. No one cares if Reagor can’t make them in games more consistently.

Yeah, he had the nice snag versus the New York Jets, but he also dropped TWO potential game-winning touchdown passes in the same game on Philly’s final drive. The feelings towards the Philadelphia Eagles WR have moved from disappointment to fury, and his approval rating drops by the day. This was a colossal mistake by this franchise.
