. . . Mike Williams, Chargers. 3. player. 13

No one will complain about seeing Mike Williams in an Eagles jersey.

There aren’t too many rosters in the NFL that can say they wouldn’t be forced to place Mike Williams at the top of their wide receivers’ depth chart if they added him during the offseason. As good as DeVonta Smith is and despite the amount of potential he possesses, the Philadelphia Eagles are definitely one of the teams on that list.

It feels like a motivated Williams has it all. He’s six-foot-four, and he tips the scales at 218 pounds. Williams can run past people. He can run through people.

In 74 career games as a member of the Los Angeles Chargers (that includes two playoff contests), Williams has made 48 starts. He’s hauled in 234 passes. That’s resulted in 3,772 yards and 26 trips to the end zone.

Call us crazy, but daydreaming about an offense that’s loaded with guys like Jalen Hurts, Dallas Goedert, Miles Sanders, Kenneth Gainwell, and potentially Mike Williams on the opposite side of the formation from DeVonta Smith sounds like one we wouldn’t mind watching in 2022. That’s a squad that can put up some serious rushing yards and a lot of points.
