. . Carolina Panthers. . team. 87.

We’ve seen former Eagles land in Carolina before.

Gardner Minshew racked up a 7-13 record as the starter for Jacksonville. That isn’t too impressive, but it isn’t that bad either seeing as how we’re talking about a small market that hasn’t traditionally been a destination of choice for some of the league’s best free-agent talent. As a result, though they’ve had some good seasons, the Jags have lost more often than they’ve won.

The same can be said about the Carolina Panthers, but Charlotte is a nice city with a wealthy owner. They also have had a history of bringing in former Birds, some of which have had a better run in Charlotte than the one they had in Philadelphia. Look no further than guys like Kurt Coleman or Sean McDermott if you need an example.

That isn’t where the dots are connected between Minshew and the Panthers, however. The connection here comes in the form of Ben McAdoo. He’s the current offensive coordinator in Carolina and Gardner Minshew’s former quarterbacks coach in Duval County.

Carolina needs to re-energize an irritated fan base, especially seeing as how the price of those permanent seat licenses keeps rising. This team needs a mobile signal-caller seeing as how their offensive line can’t block. They need to win now seeing as how Matt Rhule’s job is on the line.

Cam Newton is a broken-down shell of himself. Sam Darnold can’t play. Make a mental note of this one of you’re mulling over a few potential landing spots for Minshew if a trade was to occur.
