15. . QB. New Orleans Saints. Trevor Siemian. 15. player

The best of the rest that the Philadelphia Eagles could look at.

Prior to a three-game stretch in which he faced the Tennessee Titans, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Buffalo Bills in consecutive weeks, Trevor Siemian strung together a couple of nice outings as the New Orleans Saints’ starter.

Now, it’s important to point out that, when we say ‘nice’ that means we’re talking about what he delivered versus what the expectations were. It’s important to note that he often lacked sufficient help around him, but his most notable performance came in relief of Jameis Winston in a huge win that went the Saints’ way versus the rival (and defending-champion) Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

In the fourth quarter of a close loss that came at the hands of the Atlanta Falcons, Siemian also came to play. He should receive a pay raise from the sub-million-dollar price tag he played under in 2021.

It’s important to remember that he was second to only Jacoby Brissett in terms of PFF passing grades for quarterbacks while under pressure. He completed 45.7 percent of passes and had zero turnover-worthy plays. In total, he had just a 57.4 completion percentage but threw for 1,154 yards with 11 touchdowns versus just three interceptions in four starts.

Verdict: Siemian is worth considering. His accuracy and pocket presence are major concerns, but at 30-years-old, he wouldn’t be the worst fallback option at a similar price as McCoy.
