The Eagles may have found a way to downgrade from Jalen Reagor.

As sad as this is to say, the selection of Jalen Reagor might go down as one of the worst in franchise history. One day, Justin Jefferson‘s playing days will be over. He’ll go to the Pro Football Hall of Fame (maybe), and the conversations around Eagles circles will be about that night we were all in a COVID-19-related quarantine and watching the 2020 NFL Draft when Philly swung and missed on Reagor and the Minnesota Vikings took Justin Jefferson one spot later.

Since then, Jefferson has made the Pro Bowl in each of his first two seasons, and he’s added 196 receptions for 3,016 yards to his NFL resume while reaching the end zone 17 times. Jalen’s hauled in 64 passes while racking up 695 yards and three scores.

In 2021, Pro Football Focus gave Reagor a grade of 56.2, and that earned him a ranking of 105 out of 115 qualifying receivers. He was credited with a 10.5% drop rate as he had four of those on the campaign. We thought the Eagles couldn’t do much worse at the position. The joke’s on you guys and gals. Pascal earned himself a grade of 52.7 and a drop rate of 7.3% (three drops) and he’s the 113th-ranked wideout out of 115 qualifiers.

That’s a long-winded way of saying this. As hard as it was for Philadelphia to downgrade from Reagor, they may have found a way to do exactly that. Only Philly, right?
