Two former Eagles look like their careers are winding down faster than they’d like.

Sometimes, it’s hard to understand why it takes people so long to realize what the rest of us can see so easily. We still, for the life of us can’t figure out, what took some of you so long to realize that Carson Wentz can’t play anymore.

This isn’t just an issue that’s limited to the Wentz apologists though. Every offseason, someone wants to bring a LeSean McCoy or a Jason Peters or anyone else that creates nostalgia back to the Eagles roster when their best days are clearly behind them, and in terms of Peters, Philadelphia brought the man formerly known as ‘The Bodyguard’ back more times than they needed to.

Now, following three consecutive disappointing seasons, including his most recent with the Chicago Bears, the writing may be on the wall. It’s past time for Peters to hang the cleats up.

He’s a shoo-in for induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame. Even still, this is no longer the guy that held down the left tackle position for the better part of more than a decade.
