player. 48. . . . Antonio Brown, wide receiver.

There’s no reason to even consider Anotonio Brown in an Eagles jersey.

With Hilton, there are no questions about his talent, leadership, or dedication to the game. We just believe he lacks durability because that’s been proven more than once. Antonio Brown is a different story.

He has the physical tools. He’s among the best when he’s focused and puts it all together, but history has taught us time and time again that this is someone that you don’t want in the locker room. At some point, he will let his teammates down.

As is the case with Hilton, there’s been no desire within the media or fanbase to bring A.B. to town. The Eagles brass hasn’t surprised us with an unexpected signing, and we appreciate that. If he hasn’t gotten it together under Mike Tomlin or Bruce Arians, he certainly isn’t going to be a better version of himself under Sirianni and Shane Steichen.

We’ve all discussed theories on why adding a veteran wideout to Philly’s corps would be helpful, but after weighing the evidence, we’ve decided to stand firm on the belief that A.B. doesn’t need to be that guy. Can you imagine having him as one of the senior voices in Aaron Moorehead’s meetings?
