The Eagles were wise to ignore one of the most talked-about remaining WRs.

Here’s where you have to give Eagles fans some credit. There are times when it’s almost impossible to know what they’re thinking, but often they hit the bullseye. There wasn’t any buzz surrounding the idea of bringing T.Y. Hilton to town, at least from the outside looking in, but we all knew that his connection to Nick Sirianni made his addition a real possibility (whether it was a good idea or not).

In the end, Philadelphia did elect to sign one of Nick’s former pupils. Former Indianapolis Colts wideout Zach Pascal was added to the nest on March 21st. It doesn’t take much to formulate an argument stating that, even with the injuries, Hilton is a much better player, but seeing as how T.Y. hasn’t played a full season since 2017, it’s hard to make arguments for bringing him on board.

The Birds probably could have ignored Paschal as well, but at least he isn’t as expensive as T.Y. would have been. Can you imagine what the vibe would have been had he signed on for big money and been unavailable for some of the more important games of the season because he couldn’t go physically?
