The Eagles’ commitment to Jalen Hurts hasn’t stopped them from playing the field.

If you’re in a relationship with someone, and it’s gotten serious, there’s something you’ll want to remember. If you’re single, jot this down anyway. It will serve you well when you do find someone.

Once you start throwing around words like ‘commitment’, you definitely want to do something about that wandering eye if you have one. It would probably be a good idea to stop going on dates with other people too.

If you’re committed and still ‘playing the field’, you won’t stay in that relationship for a very long time. Now, think about how the Eagles have conducted themselves after saying on multiple occasions that Jalen Hurts is their quarterback.

Sure, they changed their status on Facebook. They announced their love for Jalen Hurts publicly, but that never stopped them from flirting with more attractive options at the quarterback position every time one of them decided they were looking for a new arrangement.

They took Kenny Pickett out once. They invited Matt Corral to the NovaCare Complex. They made passes at Russell Wilson and Deshaun Watson. They even tried to get Aaron Rodgers’ attention.

It doesn’t sound like they’re ‘all-in’ on Jalen Hurts, does it? If you still need convincing, try this one on for size.

Remember when we said we doubted they’d invest an early draft pick on a signal-caller? Well, you might want to leave that door open too. The Eagles sure have.

In a recent appearance on the Rich Eisen show, Liberty head coach Hugh Freeze stated that the Eagles brass gave him a call and they had a long discussion about Malik Willis.

We’ve all seen how NFL franchises act when they have their franchise signal-caller, and this isn’t it, but if you still need convincing that this team’s actions don’t match what they keep saying, all you have to do is look at a trade we’ll be discussing from now to this same time in 2023.
